Rutland Street & Ramsden Oval
Permeable Pavement Project

Whilst on secondment as the Integrated Water Management Lead with Yarra City Council, Damien led the planning, design and construction of the Rutland Street and Ramsden Oval permeable pavement pilot projects. 

 

The two projects included an innovative permeable project that uses a trial product developed by Melbourne University and Porous Lane.

 

These projects have gained significant interest from a number of local government agencies, Clearwater and Sustainability Victoria.

 

Both projects are part of an ongoing research program involving Melbourne University and Council to investigate the durability, urban cooling, stormwater quality and quantity reduction benefits.
